ACPELIA invites young people from Cyprus to take part in the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange “Beyond School: The Missing Lessons”, an international project hosted in Lithuania that focuses on life skills that are often missing from traditional school education.
While schools usually focus on academic knowledge, many young people feel unprepared for real-life challenges such as managing emotions, communicating effectively, handling money, navigating the digital world, or planning their future. This Youth Exchange creates a safe, creative, and supportive space where young people can explore these “missing lessons” through non-formal education, nature-based learning, and intercultural exchange.

🔍 What is the project about?
“Beyond School” brings together young people from Lithuania, Cyprus, Poland, Hungary, Romania, and Austria to reflect on education, personal growth, and life skills. Through workshops, discussions, games, and creative activities, participants will develop competencies related to:
emotional intelligence and mental well-being
communication and social skills
self-awareness and confidence building
financial and practical life skills
digital literacy and online safety
active participation and citizenship
The project helps young people connect learning with real life and encourages them to see education as a tool for empowerment, not pressure.
Hosting Place: "Elniakampis" homestead in Vilnius region
"Elniakampis" homestead is located in a remote and quiet corner of the Neris Regional Park, only 28 kilometres away from Vilnius city center. Homestead is surrounded by Elniakampis forest and Elna creek is flowing through its territory. Rural tourism homestead "Elniakampis" consists of residential house with three halls, a tennis court, basketball, football and volleyball pitches, table tennis and billiard halls, a natural pond and a sauna with a waterfall near to it.

🎨 Methods & Activities
The Youth Exchange will use non-formal education methods, including:
interactive workshops and group discussions
creative activities (theatre, storytelling, art)
