About the Project
“Beyond School: The Missing Lessons” is an international Youth Exchange designed to support young people in gaining essential life skills and personal competencies that are often not covered in formal education. Through dynamic non-formal learning, creative workshops, group challenges, and reflection sessions, participants will build confidence in areas such as emotional well-being, communication, financial literacy, decision-making, digital safety, and practical life planning.
The project strives to foster a supportive learning space where young people can explore real-world topics, share personal experiences, and grow together through collaboration and intercultural exchange. By working in mixed international teams, participants will develop stronger leadership skills, social awareness, and intercultural empathy — skills that are crucial for their future personal and professional paths.
Activity Place: Youth Exchange at "Elniakampis" homestead in Vilnius region (Lithuania).
"Elniakampis" homestead is located in a remote and quiet corner of the Neris Regional Park, only 28 kilometres away from Vilnius city center. Homestead is surrounded by Elniakampis forest and Elna creek is flowing through its territory. Rural tourism homestead "Elniakampis" consists of residential house with three halls, a tennis court, basketball, football and volleyball pitches, table tennis and billiard halls, a natural pond and a sauna with a waterfall near to it.
Objectives of the Exchange
Equip participants with essential life competencies that complement formal education.
Promote social inclusion, equal opportunities, and youth empowerment.
Encourage creativity, critical thinking, and self-reflection.
Strengthen intercultural dialogue and European cooperation.
Inspire practical action and positive change within local communities.
ACPELIA plans to be represented by 1 group leader and 6 young participants from our network. We are looking for motivated, open-minded youth aged 16–20 who are interested in personal growth, teamwork, and intercultural learning. Selected participants will actively take part in workshops, group activities, dissemination tasks, and intercultural evenings during the exchange.
