ACPELIA is looking for 2 motivated participants from Cyprus to take part in the Erasmus+ Training Course “Outdoor Education”, which will take place in Szeged, Hungary, from 3 to 11 October 2026. The activity is organised by Eurotender Association and focuses on using nature and outdoor activities as powerful tools for learning, personal development, environmental education, teamwork and leadership.

🌳 About the Training Course
Outdoor Education is designed for people who work with young people and would like to enrich their educational practice through experiential and non-formal learning methods.
Throughout the training, participants will explore how nature and outdoor activities can be used as a medium for:
personal growth and self-development;
environmental education;
team building;
trust and cooperation;
creativity and well-being;
leadership development;
inclusion;
creating meaningful learning experiences for young people.
Participants will not only receive new methods but will also be encouraged to contribute their own experiences, ideas and practices. Although the main theme is outdoor education, some activities will also take place indoors when specific facilities or infrastructure are needed.

The methodology is based mainly on non-formal education and learning by doing rather than traditional classroom teaching. Activities will be facilitated by experienced trainers and will encourage active participation, peer learning and exchange of ideas.

👥 Who Are We Looking For?
ACPELIA is looking for 2 participants from Cyprus. Suitable applicants may be:
Youth workers, teachers, educators, trainers, youth leaders, NGO members, volunteers or other people who are actively involved in working with young people.
You should:
be 18 years old or older;
have a genuine interest in outdoor education and non-formal learning;
be involved in working with young people or seriously interested in becoming involved;
be interested in developing yourself both professionally and personally;
be able to communicate in English;
be available for the whole duration of the project;
be willing to participate actively in all sessions;
be open to working with people from different backgrounds and cultures;
be ready to complete the required follow-up and dissemination activities after returning to Cyprus.
No specific academic degree or professional qualification is required.
🏨 Accommodation & Meals
Participants will stay at Riva Hotel in Szeged, in gender-based rooms with approximately 3–4 separate beds and private bathrooms. The main training venue will be within comfortable walking distance from the hotel.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided throughout the training course.
Accommodation and food during the official project dates are covered by the Erasmus+ programme, provided that participants take part fully in the programme.

Participants must not purchase their travel tickets before receiving approval from the organisers. Tickets bought without written confirmation may not be reimbursed. Travel should be organised in an economical and sustainable way, and all required tickets, invoices and boarding passes must be kept for reimbursement.
Participants are also required to have valid health insurance for their stay in Hungary. EU citizens may use the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC).
📣 After the Training
Participation does not finish when you return home. Participants are expected to share what they learned and help multiply the project's impact.
After the activity, participants will need to:
publish a public post about their experience and learning;
share photos and project outcomes;
organise a local dissemination activity for at least 15 people;
complete their Youthpass learning reflection;
complete the official Erasmus+ Participant Report;
provide all necessary travel documents.
These follow-up responsibilities should be completed within 20 days after the training course.
