ACPELIA is proud to announce its participation in the Erasmus+ Sport 2025 project “Health and Sport through Korfball (HSTK)”, an international initiative that promotes health, social inclusion, and gender equality through sport.
🔵 What is Korfball?
Korfball is a unique mixed-gender team sport where men and women play together on equal terms. It is:
✔️ 100% gender-balanced
✔️ Inclusive and accessible
✔️ Low-cost and adaptable, including for people with disabilities
Because players compete only against others of the same gender, korfball creates a fair, respectful, and cooperative sporting environment, making it a powerful tool for Sport for All.
🌍 Project Overview
Duration: 18 months (2026–2027)
Countries involved: Romania, Cyprus, Türkiye
Main aim: Use korfball to improve physical and mental health, encourage participation in sport, and strengthen social inclusion in local communities.
📅 International & Local Activities
Kick-off Meeting – February 2026, Romania (Project Management)
Study Visit in Romania – May/June 2026 (2 people from Cyprus)
Local Korfball Activities in Cyprus (June to October 2026)
Community tournaments & games
More than 100+ participants
Korfball Training Course in Cyprus – September 2026 (6 participants from each organization)
Final Transnational Project Meeting & Conference – Türkiye
Final games & demonstrations
Presentation of the project handbook, videos, and educational tools
👥 Who are we looking for?
We are opening 6 places for motivated participants from Cyprus:
Physical Education teachers
Sports coaches
Korfball enthusiasts
Students of Sports / Gymnastics Academies
Participants will have the opportunity to:
Receive specialized training in korfball
Work with international experts
Become future coaches and ambassadors of korfball
Contribute to inclusive and innovative sport practices
