ACPELIA - Active Cypriot Programs and European Learning Into Acceptance invites young people to participate in the first training activity of the European project DIGI-PASS - Empowering Pissouri Through Digital Knowledge.

The first activity will bring together 25 participants for a three-day learning journey combining digital skills, creativity, teamwork, non-formal education and community participation.
The main residential training will take place on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 October 2026 at Hylatio Tourist Village in Pissouri, including one overnight stay.
The activity will continue on Thursday 29 October 2026 at Περιφερειακό Λύκειο Αποστόλου Λουκά Κολοσσίου, where participants will share what they learned and present their digital creations to the school community.
12 participants will have the opportunity to continue as DIGI-PASS Ambassadors & Digital Mentors.
WHAT IS DIGI-PASS?
DIGI-PASS - Empowering Pissouri Through Digital Knowledge is an Erasmus+ KA154-YOU - Youth Participation Activities project running from 1 March 2026 until 29 February 2028.
The project aims to help bridge the digital divide in Pissouri by providing young people, older residents and people facing fewer opportunities with opportunities to develop essential digital skills.
Through training, workshops, intergenerational learning, youth participation and community-based activities, DIGI-PASS aims to promote:

Social Inclusion
Intergenerational Cooperation
Youth Participation
Digital Creativity
Community Development
The project also foresees the development of a sustainable digital platform and a Digital Village Map highlighting Pissouri's landmarks, local culture, tourism opportunities and local businesses.

YPEVO01 - TRAINING SESSIONS ON DIGITAL LITERACY
The Training Sessions on Digital Literacy are the first major training activity of DIGI-PASS. The activity is designed to give participants practical experience with everyday digital tools while also helping them understand how digital skills can be used for communication, collaboration, creativity and community engagement.
25 PARTICIPANTS
The approved activity foresees 25 participants, including 15 participants with fewer opportunities.
No advanced IT knowledge is required. What matters is your willingness to learn new things, participate actively, work with others, create and share your knowledge.
The training will be based on Non-Formal Education and Learning by Doing, including practical workshops, teamwork, discussions, digital exercises, peer learning, reflection and creative group projects.
FULL ACTIVITY PROGRAMME
DAY 1 - LEARN | SATURDAY, 24 OCTOBER 2026

Our DIGI-PASS journey begins with a full day dedicated to Digital Literacy, Everyday Digital Tools, Online Collaboration and Digital Communication.
09:00-09:30 | Registration, Welcome & Introduction to DIGI-PASS
Arrival and registration of participants. Introductions, team-building activities, presentation of DIGI-PASS, training objectives and participant expectations.
09:30-10:30 | Understanding Digital Literacy
Interactive exploration of digital literacy, the importance of digital skills, technology in everyday life, education and work, responsible technology use and community development.
10:30-10:45 | Coffee Break
10:45-12:15 | Basic Digital Tools for Everyday Life
Hands-on work with email, document editing and file management through step-by-step tutorials and guided practical exercises.
12:15-13:15 | Lunch Break
13:15-14:30 | Online Collaboration Platforms
Introduction to Google Workspace and Trello for teamwork, document sharing, task organisation, team communication and small-project coordination, using case studies, role-playing and group exercises.
14:30-14:45 | Coffee Break
14:45-16:00 | Effective Digital Communication
Messaging, video calls, virtual meetings and online teamwork through hands-on workshops and peer-learning activities.
16:00-16:30 | Reflection & Evaluation of Day 1
Participants reflect on what they learned, what was new and which skills they can already use in everyday life.
16:30 onwards | Free Time & Informal Team Building

ONE NIGHT AT HYLATIO TOURIST VILLAGE
All selected participants will stay overnight at Hylatio Tourist Village, Pissouri, on Saturday, 24 October 2026. The residential experience gives participants additional opportunities to connect, exchange ideas and strengthen team spirit.

The second day moves from learning digital tools to using them creatively.

A short non-formal activity to energise the group and revisit key learning points from Day 1.
09:20-10:15 | Introduction to Digital Storytelling
Participants discover the basic principles of Digital Storytelling and how images, text, design and digital tools can communicate ideas and support community outreach.
10:15-10:30 | Coffee Break
10:30-12:00 | Canva Practical Workshop
Participants work practically with Canva and learn how digital design tools can be used to create attractive and meaningful content.
12:00-13:00 | Lunch Break
13:00-14:30 | Create Your Mini Digital Community Project
Working in small teams, participants develop a digital project connected with Pissouri, cultural heritage, environment, tourism, young people, community participation or European opportunities.
14:30-14:45 | Coffee Break
14:45-15:45 | Present Your Digital Project
Each team presents its idea, topic, digital tools, message and potential value for the community.
15:45-16:15 | Peer Review & Constructive Feedback
Participants review each other's work, exchange ideas and provide constructive feedback.
16:15-16:45 | Reflection, Evaluation & Next Steps
Participants reflect on what they learned, what they can now do better and how they can use their skills to help someone else.
16:45-17:00 | Introducing the DIGI-PASS Ambassadors
Presentation of the next opportunity within DIGI-PASS: 12 DIGI-PASS Ambassadors.
DAY 3 - SHARE & INSPIRE | THURSDAY, 29 OCTOBER 2026
Venue: Περιφερειακό Λύκειο Αποστόλου Λουκά Κολοσσίου
The third part of the activity takes DIGI-PASS from the training environment into the school community. Participants will become the presenters and share their experience, knowledge and creations.
Introduce DIGI-PASS - Empowering Pissouri Through Digital Knowledge.
Explain what they learned during the residential training.
Demonstrate some of the digital tools and skills they explored.
Present their Mini Digital Community Projects.
Share their experience of teamwork and Non-Formal Education.
Introduce the idea of the DIGI-PASS Ambassadors.
Inform other young people about future opportunities to participate in DIGI-PASS.

Following the activity, 12 motivated participants will have the opportunity to continue as DIGI-PASS Ambassadors & Digital Mentors.

THE NEXT STEP - INTERGENERATIONAL DIGITAL LEARNING
The 12 DIGI-PASS Ambassadors will have the opportunity to participate in a second two-day activity together with older participants. With support and guidance, the young Ambassadors will help older participants develop practical digital skills.

No advanced digital knowledge is required. What matters most is your motivation to learn, participate and contribute.
