đ What is â(UN)Pluggedâ?
đ Project Concept: Bridging Digital and Physical Well-being
In todayâs fast-paced digital world, Generation Z (born 1997â2012) is more digitally connected than ever, but often at the cost of their physical and mental well-being. The (UN)Plugged project seeks to address this imbalance by encouraging young people to both âplug inâ to technology for movement and health and âunplugâ to reduce stress, engage in real-world activities, and improve mindfulness.
The project uses digital tools as a starting pointâintegrating Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and gamified sports appsâto spark youth interest in movement and self-care. Then, it encourages stepping away from screens through sports, inclusive games, yoga sessions, and group reflection to foster holistic well-being.
đŻ Project Objectives
đĄ Equip youth workers and participants with innovative methods to use digital tools for health promotion.
đ§ Promote mental health, resilience, and self-care among young people.
đ€ Foster social inclusion, teamwork, and intercultural dialogue through collaborative sports and non-formal education.
đââïž Encourage a balanced lifestyle, where young people consciously manage screen time and physical activity.
đČ Explore how VR, AR, and gamified fitness apps can become allies in creating healthy daily routines.
