🇲🇰 Youth Exchange in North Macedonia – We All Fail, We Just Don’t Talk About It!

📢 CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS FROM CYPRUS! 🇨🇾

Are you afraid of making mistakes? Do you sometimes feel pressured to succeed or worry about what other people think of you?

What if failure was not something to hide, but an opportunity to learn, grow and become more confident?

An exciting Erasmus+ Youth Exchange, “We All Fail, We Just Don’t Talk About It!”, will bring together young people from six European countries to explore the fear of failure, social pressure, self-confidence and personal development through non-formal education.

🌍 About the Project

Many young people experience pressure to succeed in education, careers and personal life. Fear of making mistakes, comparing ourselves with others and worrying about being judged can prevent us from taking opportunities and reaching our potential.

This Youth Exchange aims to create a safe, inclusive and supportive environment where young people can openly explore these challenges and discover that failure is a natural part of learning.

Participants will develop greater self-awareness, confidence, resilience and understanding through intercultural learning and shared experiences.

The project will involve 24 young participants and 6 group leaders, representing six countries.

🎨 What Will Participants Do?

Throughout the Youth Exchange, participants will engage in interactive activities based on non-formal education, including:

🤝 Team-building activities and intercultural exchange
💬 Group discussions about fear of failure and social expectations
🎭 Theatre, storytelling and creative expression
🎨 Art and writing workshops
🧩 Collaborative challenges and problem-solving
🧠 Reflection on confidence, personal growth and resilience
🌍 Cultural activities and exploration of Ohrid
💡 Developing ideas and materials to share with young people after returning home

Participants will learn from one another, develop new friendships and discover different approaches to overcoming challenges.

No participant will be forced to share personal experiences. Everyone will be encouraged to participate in a respectful and supportive environment.

👥 Who Can Apply?

The call is open to young people who:

Are 18–24 years old
Are Cypriot or currently living in Cyprus
Are interested in personal development, self-confidence and overcoming the fear of failure
Are motivated to participate actively in workshops and group activities
Are interested in meeting young people from other European countries
Are willing to contribute to the project's learning activities and follow-up dissemination

Previous Erasmus+ experience is not required.

Young people facing fewer opportunities, including financial difficulties, social exclusion, bullying or low self-confidence, are especially encouraged to apply.

🏨 Accommodation and Funding

The Youth Exchange will take place at Hotel Montenegrin Inn in Ohrid, where participants will stay and attend project activities.

Accommodation and meals during the official project dates are fully covered by the Erasmus+ project.

Travel costs are supported according to the applicable Erasmus+ reimbursement conditions and project arrangements.

Participants who wish to extend their stay for personal travel may do so within the project's permitted arrangements, covering any additional personal expenses themselves.
