Activity: Youth Exchange in France (Lyon). The YE “Youth for Healthier Tomorrow” project will involve participants from different countries, from 02.11 (arrival) – 09.11 (departure) 2024.

Food: The venue of the training will serve the participants with 3- times-a-day meals and snacks and beverages for the coffee breaks.

- Reimbursement: travel tickets will be paid based on EU distance calculator upon receipt of invoices and boarding passes.
- Arrival airport: Lyon Saint Expiry, or by train to Gare Par dieu Lyon
Travelling food and accommodation all are paid from the program
4 youngsters (ages 16 to 25) and 1 leader (no age limit) will be selected from our organisation.
What is the project about?
The project has been based around young people living healthier and fuller lives, through sports, looking at their diet, the environment around them, also the opportunities they have within their environment and their cultures.
The project will incorporate the different youth from EU that will be rep-presented in the exchange.
We will focus on the following:
• Healthy Eating- to try and identify some of the issues around obesity and health problems
• Sports –sharing different sports from old times and new sports to integrate the cultures
• Cooking- Sharing recipes, ways of cooking and tools for cooking, compiling a cook book that can be taken away and used for other young people
• Planting seeds young people growing organic food
• Waste reduction, reuse and recycling

Through workshops, collaborative initiatives, and skill building sessions, we aim to empower organizations to better address the health related needs of the youth they serve. And align with and support the diverse needs of participating organizations, ensuring a meaningful impact on the well being of the youth they work with.
LYON, FRANCE
The Lyon metropolitan area comprises Lyon and 57 surrounding municipalities. From Villeurbanne, to Caluire-et-Cuire, Oullins and the Monts d’Or, it offers many surprises to be discovered. Lyon proper, north, south, east and west: pick which area you’d like to explore.
Lyon: The city of Lyonis a regional hub and the French capital of gastronomy. But that’s not all: it boasts a wealth of cultural attractions, events and gatherings that attract residents and visitors all year round. Lyon is also the city of the Lumière Brothers and cinema, the puppet Guignol, the Olympique Lyonnais football team, and the Fête des Lumières (Festival of Lights)… From the 1st to the 9th district, Lyon is packed with things to see and do.
North of the metropolitan area: Between the northern plateau and the Saône valley, the north of the metropolitan area has some amazing nature spots to be discovered. With green spaces, historical locations, sports areas and more, the north of Lyon offers so much to explore.
