Project Name KA152YOU: YE “Rural Areas: Youth, Sport and Inclusion”

ACPELIA is excited to announce its next Youth Exchange adventure in Muncel, Iași, Romania, from April 20 to 28, 2026. Following the success of our previous project in the same beautiful rural setting, we return with a fresh, dynamic and inclusive concept:

“Rural Areas: Youth, Sport and Inclusion” – a week of sport, nature, friendship, and learning in one of Romania’s most peaceful landscapes.

This Youth Exchange aims to combine physical activity, outdoor experiences, and inclusive practices to foster solidarity, teamwork, and a healthier connection with both our bodies and the environment. It's not just about sport—it's about building bridges between young people from different backgrounds through engaging non-formal education.

Activity dates: April 20 to 28, 2026 (including travelling days)

Venue: Tabara Muncel, Iasi, Romania

Food: The venue of the training will serve the participants with 3- times-a-day meals and snacks and beverages for the coffee breaks.

Participants: 5+1 participants from 6 countries.

Total of 36 participants

Travelling food and accommodation all are paid from the program

🏃‍♀️ Daily Sport & Inclusion Activities

Every day, participants will engage in a different sport or physical activity, promoting movement, health, and fun. Activities may include:

  • 🥾 Hiking and Mountaineering

  • Mixed-gender football and inclusive team sports

  • 🏐 Group challenges & obstacle games

  • 🧏 Inclusive sports for all (e.g. blindfolded games to build trust and empathy)

The idea is to challenge ourselves physically, work in diverse teams, and discover how sports can be a powerful tool for social inclusion, especially in rural areas where access and visibility may be limited.

🍃 Nature, Reflection, and Environmental Awareness

In addition to daily sports, we will take time every few days to slow down and connect with nature. Activities like:

  • Forest walks with environmental learning points

  • Reflection sessions in the woods

  • Creative workshops focused on sustainability and mindfulness

These elements allow participants to rest their bodies while exploring the importance of protecting nature, especially in rural communities that depend on it.

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Leaders and Safety

While many camp activities will be self-organized or guided by facilitators using non-formal learning tools, some activities outside the camp (like hiking or forest orientation) will require group leaders for safety and coordination.

We plan to involve experienced youth leaders to guide participants during those moments, ensuring everyone can feel safe and supported throughout the program.

🎯 Objectives of the Youth Exchange

  • Promote physical and mental well-being through sport

  • Enhance intercultural dialogue and teamwork among youth

  • Raise awareness on inclusion in rural areas

  • Strengthen understanding of environmental challenges

  • Provide space for youth-led reflection and learning
