🌱 Be part of something new in Pissouri!
ACPELIA is looking for motivated volunteers who would like to become actively involved in the development, activities and promotion of the new Youth Center in Pissouri.
This is not a call for volunteers for only one event. We want to create an ACPELIA Volunteer Team that can participate throughout the project according to each person's interests, skills, ideas and availability.
The Youth Center is being developed as an open, inclusive and youth-driven space where young people can meet, create, participate in workshops and discussions, organise activities, develop their own initiatives, express themselves and become more active in their community. Young people themselves will have an important role in shaping the activities and identity of the Youth Center.
💡 What is the project about?
Our aim is not simply to create a physical place for young people.
We want to build a living youth community where young people can participate, learn, create, cooperate and gradually take responsibility for their own activities and initiatives.
Throughout the project, the Youth Center will connect young people with the local community through non-formal education, creative activities, school outreach, youth dialogue, community events, dissemination activities and youth-led initiatives.
The programme also includes activities where young people will present their ideas and experiences directly to the community and invite other young people to become involved.
🙋 What can I do as a volunteer?
There are many different possibilities, and you do not need to participate in everything.
You can choose the areas that interest you most, contribute skills you already have, or use the opportunity to develop completely new ones.
You may become involved in:
🎯 Youth Activities & Workshops – helping prepare and implement games, workshops, discussions, team-building activities and non-formal learning activities.
🎪 Events & Festivals – helping organise Youth Center events, community activities, festivals and larger public events.
📱 Social Media & Promotion – creating posts, stories, reels and other content to promote the Youth Center and its activities.
📸 Photography & Video – photographing activities, recording events and helping us create videos documenting the project's journey.
🎨 Creative & Graphic Materials – helping prepare posters, booklets, presentations, decorations, displays and other creative materials.
🗣️ Youth Communication & Outreach – communicating with young people, promoting opportunities and encouraging others to participate.
🏫 School & Community Activities – supporting activities connecting the Youth Center with schools and the wider community.
🎭 Theatre, Music, Dance & Arts – helping develop performances and creative activities according to your interests and talents.
⚽ Games, Sport & Outdoor Activities – helping organise enjoyable, active and participatory activities.
💭 Your Own Ideas – proposing and helping develop new activities that you believe young people would enjoy or benefit from.
The project itself foresees young people preparing creative materials, facilitating activities, communicating with community members, sharing their experiences, organising games and workshops and participating in creative performances.
🌟 Do I need previous experience?
No.
You do not need previous experience in Erasmus+, youth work or volunteering.
You may join because you already have a skill you would like to contribute, but you can also join because there is something you would like to learn.
Maybe you want to learn how to organise an event.
Maybe you enjoy photography or video.
Maybe you are interested in social media.
Maybe you like working with young people.
Maybe you enjoy theatre, music, sport, arts or creative activities.
Maybe you want experience in youth work and Erasmus+.
Or maybe you simply want to become more active and try something new.
There can be a place for all these interests in our volunteer team.
🚀 What can I gain from participating?
Volunteering should not only be about what you can give. It should also be an opportunity to learn and develop yourself.

The project uses methods such as learning by doing, teamwork, peer cooperation, creative expression, storytelling and youth-led participation, giving volunteers opportunities to develop through practical experience.
📅 What kind of activities are coming?
The Youth Center journey will include different activities over the life of the project.
These include school outreach activities, Youth Center community and dissemination events, creative workshops and interactive activities, participation in the Pissouri Village Festival and Market, an Easter community event in Pissouri Square and, eventually, a Final Youth Festival.
The final festival is planned to bring together youth-led games and interactive activities with theatre, music, dance and other forms of creative youth expression.
This means that volunteers will have opportunities to become involved in different types of activities at different stages of the project.
⏰ Do I have to participate in everything?
No.
We understand that volunteers may have work, studies, family responsibilities and other commitments.
You do not have to participate in every activity.
What we want is to understand:
What interests you?
What are you already good at?
What would you like to learn?
What type of activities would you enjoy supporting?
How much time would you realistically like to contribute?
Based on this, we can identify the opportunities within the project that are most suitable for you.
💚 Why are we creating an ACPELIA Volunteer Team?
Because we don't want the Youth Center to be a place where activities are simply prepared for young people.
We want young people and volunteers to be part of creating them.
We want a team where people can bring different talents, personalities and ideas together.
You can come with experience.
You can come with an idea.
You can come because you want to learn.
You can come because you want to meet people and become more involved in your community.
And you can come even if you don't yet know exactly what you can contribute.
We can discover your role together.
