ACPELIA invites you to an open introductory Korfball event at Hylatio Tourist Village. Come to discover the sport, learn its basic principles and, most importantly, step onto the court and try it yourself!

No previous experience is required.

🏐 What will happen?

This event will mark the opening of our Korfball activities in Pissouri within the Erasmus+ Sport project “Health and Sport Through Korfball – HSTK.”

It will be a relaxed and practical introduction where you will have the opportunity to discover:

1. What is Korfball?

2. How is it played?

3. What makes it different?

4. And why is it such an interesting sport for inclusion, equality and teamwork?

But we don't want you only to hear about Korfball.

We want you to PLAY it!

On our Korfball playground at Hylatio Tourist Village, you will be able to try basic techniques, practise with others and experience your first Korfball game.

Korfball is especially interesting because it is a mixed-team sport, where cooperation between women and men, communication, movement, equality and teamwork are fundamental parts of the game.

🇪🇺 The Beginning of Our Korfball Activities in Cyprus

This introductory event is also the first step towards our upcoming international Training of Trainers for Coaches, Youth Workers and Referees, taking place in Pissouri from 28 September to 2 October 2026.

Through the Health and Sport Through Korfball (HSTK) project, ACPELIA and its European partners aim to introduce Korfball to new communities and explore its potential not only as a sport, but also as a tool for health, inclusion, participation and non-formal education.

So, whether you already love sport or have never heard the word Korfball before:

Come and discover it. Come and try it. Come and play with us! 🏐
