🌿 CRAFTER – Creative Recycling Art For Transforming Environmental Responsibility

Become a Volunteer in our New Erasmus+ Project!

We are excited to announce that ACPELIA with SKE PISSOURIOU is launching the implementation of the Erasmus+ KA210-YOU project CRAFTER – Creative Recycling Art For Transforming Environmental Responsibility, and we are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our project team for the entire duration of the project (September 2026 – August 2028).


CRAFTER is an innovative European partnership between Cyprus, Lithuania and North Macedonia, aiming to inspire young people to protect the environment through creativity, artistic expression and the transformation of plastic waste into beautiful and useful creations. Through non-formal education, youth work and international cooperation, the project will demonstrate that waste can become a valuable resource while encouraging sustainability, inclusion, active citizenship and green entrepreneurship. The project includes research, international cooperation, youth worker training, local workshops, educational materials, video tutorials, exhibitions and public awareness activities.

🌍 What will happen during the project?

Throughout the project, volunteers will have the opportunity to actively participate in all major activities, including:


📚 Initial Research (Autumn 2026 – Spring 2027)

Supporting research on recycling, upcycling, environmental awareness and artistic creativity by helping with questionnaires, interviews, documentation and the collection of local good practices.


🌱 International Training Course

📍 Cyprus | 3–9 April 2027

Our international training course will bring together youth workers from Cyprus, Lithuania and North Macedonia for an intensive programme on creative recycling, environmental education and plastic upcycling.


Volunteers will support:

  • Preparation of training materials.

  • Welcoming international participants.

  • Venue preparation and logistics.

  • Creative workshops.

  • Photography and videography.

  • Documentation and reporting.

  • Social media coverage.

  • Daily coordination and participant support.


🏡 Local Training Course

📍 Cyprus | One weekend after the International Training (April 2027)

Following the international mobility, we will organise a two-day local training where the knowledge gained during the international course will be transferred to additional youth workers and local organisations.

Volunteers will assist with:

  • Workshop preparation.

  • Facilitation support.

  • Creative activities.

  • Registration and participant coordination.

Evaluation and documentation.

♻️ Local Follow-up Activities

📍 September 2027 – February 2028

Volunteers will participate in a series of local workshops involving young people, schools, NGOs, municipalities and local communities.

These workshops will focus on:

  • Plastic upcycling.

  • Artistic recycling.

  • Environmental awareness.

  • Green creativity.

  • Community engagement.

  • Inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities.

  • Public exhibitions and awareness campaigns.


📖 Educational Materials & Digital Outputs

Throughout the project, volunteers will also contribute to the development of the project's educational results, including:

  • The CRAFTER Handbook.

  • Educational activity materials.

  • Good practice collection.

  • Educational video tutorials.

  • Website content.

  • YouTube educational videos.

  • Photography and video editing.

  • Social media campaigns.

  • Dissemination and communication activities.

👥 We are looking for volunteers who are interested in:

  • Environmental protection and sustainability.

  • Recycling and upcycling.

  • Arts, crafts and creative design.

  • Working with young people.

  • Non-formal education.

  • Photography and videography.

  • Graphic design.

  • Digital media and social media.

  • Event organisation.

  • Community volunteering.

No previous experience is required. We are looking for motivated, creative and enthusiastic people who are willing to learn and work as part of an international team.


🌱 Volunteer Responsibilities

As a member of the CRAFTER Volunteer Team, you will support the implementation of the project by:

♻️ Environmental & Creative Activities

  • Collecting and preparing recyclable plastic materials.

  • Assisting in creative recycling workshops.

  • Producing artistic and functional creations from recycled materials.

  • Supporting local artists and trainers.

  • Preparing exhibitions and displays.

👥 Youth Work

  • Working directly with young people.

  • Supporting participants during workshops and events.

  • Encouraging participation of young people with fewer opportunities.

  • Assisting trainers during non-formal education activities.

  • Helping facilitate group work and team-building activities.

🎨 Artistic Innovation

  • Developing creative recycling ideas.

  • Creating prototypes and artistic objects.

  • Contributing ideas for new upcycling techniques.

  • Supporting the preparation of the CRAFTER Handbook.

📹 Digital & Communication Support

  • Taking photographs and recording videos.

  • Editing educational videos.

  • Creating social media content.

  • Supporting the project website and YouTube channel.

  • Designing promotional materials and posters.

📚 Research & Educational Support

  • Assisting with questionnaires and interviews.

  • Collecting good practices.

  • Supporting educational material development.

  • Preparing workshop resources and activity materials.

🎉 Events & Dissemination

  • Organising workshops and public events.

  • Supporting conferences and exhibitions.

  • Welcoming participants and guests.

  • Promoting project activities in the local community.

  • Assisting during dissemination and multiplication events.

📂 Organisational Support

  • Preparing participant folders and educational materials.

  • Helping with project documentation.

  • Assisting with reports and evaluation.

  • Supporting project coordinators throughout the implementation.
